A healthy diet contains the right balance of the different foods you need and the right amount of energy. A person is malnourished if their diet is not balanced. This may lead to a person being too fat or too thin an may also lead to deficiency diseases.
Some people in the developing world suffer from health problems linked to lack of food. These include: - reduced resistance to infection - irregular periods in women.
